The Green Action Fund is a committee of students dedicated to reducing the ecological footprint of UCCS and promoting sustainable environment, social and economic values through a variety of student-sponsored projects.

The Sustainability Committee strives to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all interested faculty members, staff, and students, and in to involve as many disciplines and perspectives as possible from across campus to improve teaching, research, operations, and practical works related to sustainability, climate change, and justice. 

The goal of the committee is to support the cycling community at UCCS by advocating for infrastructure, providing educational opportunities, and engaging interested, yet concerned populations. 

Sustainability is an interdisciplinary minor with courses offered by departments and colleges across campus.

The research interests of the UCCS Department of Geography & Environmental Studies (GES) cover a wide range of environmental topics, including hydrology, geomorphology, geospatial technology, and dendrochronology, and aim to provide insight into environmental processes to inform management and planning decisions.
