UCCS Sustainability Committee

UCCS Sustainability Committee
The Sustainability Committee strives to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all interested faculty members, staff, and students, and to involve as many disciplines and perspectives as possible from across campus to improve teaching, research, operations, and practical works related to sustainability, climate change, and justice.

This committee meets monthly, and is composed of UCCS faculty, staff, and students. This is also a standing committee of the UCCS Faculty Assembly (link out to https://facassembly.uccs.edu/). To learn more about this committee’s activities, or to express an interest in serving on the committee, contact the committee co-chairs Emily Mooney (emooney@uccs.edu) and Mike Kisley (mkisley@uccs.edu).

This award was designed to recognize candidates acting beyond their primary University responsibilities. We define campus sustainability as "An engaged learning community demonstrating leadership in our policies, programs and practices toward local and global ecological integrity, social equity, and economic vitality."
